I am contacting you because of a problem with AutoCAD LT 2011. In effect since shortly when we save our files on our local server this error message pop-up appears:
- Objects in this drawing can not be saved in the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created.
This problem is new, it appeared suddenly. Would you have an explanation and a workaround to my problem.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
On this video below of 60 CAD tips, I was delighted to find that the command 'CHANGE' can be used as a more efficient way of doing 'TRIM' / 'EXTEND'. Sorry, as a past Microstation user, this is a command I *REALLY* miss (along with the many convenient ways to select objects - any other tips on this GRATEFULLY received)!
However, having since tried it out, this only seems to work if you want to edit a LINE, not a POLYLINE???
Is this really the case? Surely such a useful tool should be able to be used on polylines??? :-)
Is there a way to use the array definition box like in acad lt 07?
Is there a way to explode the array?
How to edit the array?
(obiviously I am have trouble with the new array tools)
Help , I have a PDF file of a platt I need to import to AutoSketch10 so i can draw and make changes . is this possible ? thanks for any info...........judson
At my office we have a 2004 AutoCAD LT install disk. On my workstation I have AutoCAD LT 2014. One of my coworkers mentioned that this is possible because our company is on some kind of upgrade program. I cannot find any documentation on my end; is there a number of webpage I can go to to get help on finding out how I can get another workstation up to the 2014 version?
I had a macro to insert blocks incrementing an attribute each time. It falls over in Lt 14 because a dialogue box opens for the attribute value. Is there a system variable to suppress this.
Thanks for any help with this if you can get it to work I shall post the macro.
Does autocad lt 2014 have the task pane option? I cannot seem to find it in the software.
I am trrying to import a TurboCAD Deluxe 20 file into Autocad LT 2008. Can someone explain to me how to do this?
I cannot change the linetype of the line I made. It is a file created in AutoCAD 2007 and opened in AutoCAD 2014, but I don't think that that has anything to do with it since I also could not change the linetype in AutoCAD 2007.
When I simply create a new file in AutoCAD 2014, I can create a line and change the linetype very easily. I am a fairly inexperienced user with AutoCAD, and so, the solution may be very simple.
I want to use this code to update some blocks with attributes upon insertion. Everything seems to work fine except the bit in bold below. It doesn't update until after the code has run so the block doesn't get updated correctly.
The environment variables column and Row, entered via user input are good for the program. Row2 which is calculated using Row does not update until you exit the macro.
Any help would be appreciated,
I am working on LT14 and I have been having trouble with my computer freezing when switching from model space to paper space and back to model space. Any ideas??
earlier in the day my tool bars were missing so I followed the instructions under the Autocad LT forum and reset my applications. So, now I have my tool bars. But now the plot style that I always use (in my plot style table) is missing. Lovely program this Autocad LT. Regardless, can anyone tell me where I might find my missing plotstyle?
I am trying to plot a drawing with a grayscale background while keeping the title block intact and in color. Suggestions?
Our office uses AutoCAD 2014 LT. The issue we are having is somehow the plot offset is not the same on our desktops and laptops. All plot settings are the same, all page size settings are the same, and all properties of all the plotters are the same. The laptops in the office are Windows 7 64bit where as the desktops are Windows 7 32bit. I seriously doubt that the 64bit to 32bit is even a reason for the issue, but it is the only difference. I am thinking that there is some obscure setting that I am missing.
Previous drawing displayed fine. I deleted one xref and substituted another. Model space view is OK and layout quick view seems OK, but full view is missing. Have tried z, e without success. Any suggestions?
I am looking for a way people unformiliar with AutoCAD can open a drawing (example of drawing and what I am looking for is attached) and basically highlight different sections to show order of installation of equipment. Hatch and hatch boundries will be too much for most and crowd the draiwng. We don't want them to be able to change the actual drawing, just highlight different areas with the ability to go back and edit the hightlighting they added. Any ideas on what would help? A new program or add on for AutoCAD? Maybe a way to share and mark up a PDF of the drawing? Any information would be helpful.
Is there a file similar to the old mnu or mns file that I can read a list of blocks or commands that are being used in a tool palette? Or do I have to right click each icon on the tool palette, click properties, then pick up a pencil and write down the path & file name of the block?
Is there any way to batch plot out of one layout?
I gave up having one drawing per layout because I find the horizontal scroll along the bottom of my screen to be very inefficient, especially when I've got twenty or thirty layouts (when has a horizontal list ever been better than a vertical list? shouldn't there at least be the option for a vertical list of layouts on the side of the screen?) and graphically it's quite cumbersome. I often want to see my drawings as a group so I can make changes as a group, having drawings isolated from one another makes global design revisions difficult. Therefore I have all of my pages in one layout. To print I have to go to What To Plot, choose Window and then select each layout individually. This is of course the downside of how I set up my layouts and I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks in advance for any input you can offer
