AutoCAD LT

I am new to AutoCad. I have AutoCad LT 2011. I would like to get white (or light yellow) and black colors for the text like it is shown in the attached image, which I created in one image editing program.

 

I adjusted the colors in image  editing program, because I have a problem with the block. (I am using a file, which was created by another engineer some time ago.)

UNGROUP doesn't’t unblock the block.

EXPLODE or BLOCK EDITOR kills all the names in the table and I don't know what names to change to a different color.

 

Also, I am not able to change blue color to be printed as black color even if I change the color of the layer to black. Do I need to change colors in BLOCK EDITOR? How?

I would like also to be able to change some names there. How this can be done?

:smileymad: I'm sure that I have all OSnap check boxes cleared (except Ortho) but any line that I draw will still automatically end at the nearest entity it comes close to, even without touching anything. Such as an Ortho forced horizontal line still going diagonal to a "nearest" point of another line, without touching the 2nd line at any point. 

 

Likewise if I try to draw a circle that is not concentric to an existing circle it will center the new circle on apparently an object snap point of the existing circle, such as a tangent snap point,  rather than my desired XY mouse click, if I am too close to any point of the existing circle. This is still with all OSnap functions already cleared except Ortho mode. All this is really irritating, is there a flag or setting that controls this function? Thanks for any help.

I have recently moved to 2014Lt.

When I open a second file both go super slow. I didnt have this problem with 2013.

It often then crashes the recent error no is d686468fh. any ideas what I should do?

Being new to 13LT I'm not sure if they have included a system variabnle that would allow the origin of a snap inside a command to automatically start at the first selection point. In the old days (ACAD2000) I was able to customize my keypad to function as a protractor with the 5 key being the @ symbol. We did that with an autolisp which rules that out. so right now I'm suck with having to enter the SHIFT 2 (@) symbol by hand which is much more cumbersome.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a crispy new copy of AutoCAD LT97 that I have been carrying around for years. I want to install it now, and of course, PC hardware and operating systems have advanced some since the late '90's. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and the AutoCAD LT disk wants a 32 bit system.

 

Is there a way to override the requirement and go ahead and install it, then run it in compatibility mode for Windows 98?

 

Or better yet, will Autodesk upgrade this to a version that will run on a 64 bit OS?

In 2000 I could set or change the scale for the drawing being created. I don't remember the path now, but the screen included text size, dimension line standoff, decimals or fractions, tolerances, etc. So far I have not found a way to set or change the scale of the drawing being created in LT2013. I discovered drawing properties but that's not it. Would anyone know where such can be found? I've been looking at the Geolocation in LT 2014.  It appears that there's a discrepency of about 30% between the imagery and models.  I.e.  A building footprint appears about 30% smaller than the live map data.  Is there anyway to adjust the scale of map data or model?

Anyone know how to get the layer filters that are built in to work in the layer manager without pushing the setting into the toolbar?  I had the same problem with LT 2013 on my old 32 bit machine.  Others in the office running 64 bit did not have this problem with 2013.  Running Windows 7 professional 64-bit.

I have bought and installed Autocad LT 2013, but it won't run. It comes up with the message in the attachment. Can anyone please help?

Since I have a plotter compatibility problem with Windows 7 64 bit (no HP driver made for 7x64), I need to be able to save my drawing created in ACADLT2013 to ACAD2000 so that I can reopen them on my XP computer with ACAD2000. It's a pain, but it is what it is. When I did so today I noticed that the multileaders and text were dropped from the drawing. All layers are on and visible, but no leaders or text. It's as if rather than convert them to something ACAD2000 would recognize, they were just dropped.

 

Help finding the lost leaders and text would be appreciated. I really need to be able to save back to older versions for plotting, and for some of my subconsultants that don't have current releases.

After begining a command (typically it seems stretching or drawing a line) and before finishing the command, my cursor will disappear  - it looks like the command is still active (the location details still show that I'm moving the cursor) but I ultimately can't continue.  I have to escape out of the command and then can move my cursor up to the ribbon and choose to close out the program but it is not visible within the drawing space itself.   It is not a specific file, it seems to happen in any and all files.  I am running LT12 on Windows 7 (64bit).

Recently updated from 2000 to LT2013. In 2000 I could Modify Text. So far I have found nothing that allows me to Modify Text. The closest I found is in Help, "To Replace Existing Dimension Text With Alternate Text" it says to "Click Modify menu > Object >Text >Edit." The only Modify menu I can find is the Modify menu at the top showing 12 icons then it's drop down showing 14 more icons. There is no Object icon in that menu. Any ideas, suggestions, comments any have to offer about how to Modify Text in LT2013 will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

i've created a block with the subtitles in a dwg file. The subtitles contain images (logo). I use this block to create layouts in other files and i can see the images. I'm using the Autocad LT 2014 trial.

 

The problem is when i send the files to someone else, the pictures dont apear. I've tried to insert these images as OLE images, but they still dont appear.

 

Is there any solution to this problem? I just want to send dwg files with the images without having to send the images as an attachment.

I can login with username and password but then de Submit Form keeps refreshing and nothing happens.

Is there a solution to this problem, or can I download the upgrade from somewhere else?

About this, can explain for me ? This my autocad system problem ? or my drawing problem ?

 

The issue I have is that while printing a document out of AutoCAD, even though the document shows as being orientated correctly in print preview, it prints in portrait orientation and therefore part of the diagram is cut off.

 

Also, the PC seems to print incorrectly only out of autoCAD.  It prints properly out of Adobe as a PDF file. All printer and program settings appear to be identical to another PC that prints successfully in the correct manner .

If someone could point me to some hitherto undiscovered other printing settings that would be much appreciated.

What might be the cause of a several moment delay when selecting objects and/ or their grip points. It doesn't occur when a command is entered first. The longer a drawing is open the worse it seems to get. Is there any fix or adjustment that can be made?

<->My paper space screen (graphicws) has somehow changed to block and white. In model space it displays layer colors correctly but somehow during making a plot I must have inadvertantly changed something. Could it have anything to do with black and white pen settings I entered for my plotstyle?
