AutoCAD LT

When I start up LT2008, I get a blank screen, but by menu is not laoding (it used to).
I have to open the <File> tab and the it has an menu option I can them load my .cui menu

Did I toggle something?

I have been working on some pull-down menus. Occasionally when I have the bugs worked out, I will go to the Transfer Tab in the CUI interface and save the pull-down I am working on.

 

Now all the menus are not showing up in the Transfer pull-down. If you look at the cui-customize-tab.jpg, you will see which menus are shown in the Customize pull-down.

 

Compare that to the menus shown in the pull-downs in the other 2 attachments. Have I clicked something that I didn't want to click? Is it me? Do these pants make my butt look big?

We have 5 licenses for LT 2009 here at work and our IT guy thought it would be a brilliant idea to throw the installation disks away because "we don't really need them, you can find it offline if you need it." Well, I'm not going to torrent it, and I can't find it online. Is there any way for me to download the 64 bit installer for LT 2009? 

First: TIFEXP is not what i am looking for.

I do not print regular to paper but into a file. I use a special "printer" driver to print to a tif-file. The tif-file is a black-and-white classic "blueprint". LT 2014 produces a filename that looks like this:

 

M__pk_dwg_39000_39200_39257-a1 Model (1).tif

 

I simply need the filename itself:

39257-a1.tif

 

How can i change this?

Hi, I am currently using auto cad 2012 for windows, but now considering purchasing the new iMac ( the smaller one) and auto cad lt for mac. I only work in 2D. This obviously comes at quite a cost and i want to ensure that I was making the right choice.
Does anybody recommend this or foresee any problems?
Is the iMac the right choice for running the programme?
Am I right in thinking that lt 2014 is not available on mac yet?
Can the lt version if the software be up graded?

Its been a whiel since I looked at this kind of thing.

 

In LT can you have a Macro or Lisp routine (thinking a bespoke button) that saves or shuts down a drawing and upon such, changes the current layer to 0?

Help! I have two .dwg files. One file has every layer that I could possible need on it. The other file is an existing file created in my office. So, I want to take an existing drawing that does not have a good layer naming system and move it into the file that does. I saw in another post that this can be done in the Design Center, however when I go to copy layers from the existing file to the destination file it won't let me. Does this make any sense?

When you have  a printer specified and do not have it on and go to create a layout you will get stuck in loop hell.. with a dialog box that says "AutoCAD LT Error !! There is a problem with selected device. !!"    

 

This should not happen.. as an option is to cancel and you can not ... i had to CTRl alt delete and kill the prog from task manager.

So I got the 2014 AutoCad LT, and I'm drawing all day, it's crunch time... im just about to finish my plans and..... AutoCad cannot save because Autodesk 360 is not open! But I had my Autodesk 360 account logged in and open!! WHY CANT I SAVE?? PLEASE HELP!!

My office recently got three new computers all with windows seven, we also upgraded to AutoCad Lt 2013. Now of the three computers only one can print to our kip 7100 from Autocad and the other two can not. The two that can't print from Autocad can print pdf's to the Kip just not .dwg files from CAD.

I am having some issues with AutoCAD 2010 LT.  The computers in my office are iMacs so we use Parallels to run AutoCAD.  The problems started when I installed CAD 2010 LT on Windows 7.  Until recently I have been using AutoCAD 2010 LT on Windows XP without trouble.  The basic problem is this: When I bring XREFs into a file some of the information is inserted in the wrong location.  Most of the linework and such insert where they are supposed to but (seemingly random) lines are not.  The problem is not layer-specific, meaning that the lines inserting in the wrong location are not just on one layer, but multiple.     Is there anything I can do on my end to resolve this issue? 

Have been working within a new layout. Inserted border & titleblocks. Then I created several viewports and established those views. Some how now all items created on the border layer [borders/titleblocks] do not display. They do how ever plot and preview. Did i enter into some editting mode to just viewport? How do I restore?

I am running two networked computers and a networked Designjet 510 plotter. One computer runs LT2013 and the other LT2014.

 

I am having an issue with the LT2013 machine in that it plots much darker than it should (uses a heavier lineweight). I have checked the plotter set up and plot style and both appear the same.

 

where am I going wrong??

on my initial start up, after installing the program, i've been getting this fatal error, "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled access violation reading 0x0000 exception at 92af22dh". I un-installed and re-installed and it still occurs. can't open the program. I'm using windows xp. I'm at a loss as to what to now. please help!

Whenever I edited the attribute of a block, just when I tried to fill in a new value in the "Value" column after thosed named "Tag", "Prompt", it was always a pain for me to find out on which row the new value was maintained, because the color contrast between the rows was too poor. See attached picture for more details.

 

Eager to know if there is a way to change the backgroud color in order to have a better contrast?

I am noticing that my lines are not 'snapping' together. i have to zoom in really tight to check that all the lines are actually meeting together. i have tried changing apperture to 50, and it doesnt do anything. how can you change the settings so that the tolerance isnt incredibily tiny? there isnt even a measurable distance between the two lines because theyre too tiny, but lines that do not align/snap properly really bothers me and is not helpful when im trying to hatch. thanks!

I have a drawing, I HAVE DONE, where I have many viewports at three different scales. I have dimensioned my plans and details and they are all correct using one style.

However, I cant seem to replicate it and invisetgating the properties of the VP's and Dim's gives me nothing.

I normally hit Dim, and dim away and it automtically adjusts and scales in realtions to VP scale.

What have I done and why cant I even replicate this in this drawing?

My brain is mush and teethign baby does not help my autocad use abilities, does this even make sense?

Q
