AutoCAD LT 2014 Viewres set to 0
After a fresh install of Windows 7, I had AutoCAD LT 2013 installed for about 1 month. I was then upgraded to AutoCAD LT 2014. I was told the installer performed an uninstall and then a fresh install of 2014.
Now using AutoCAD LT 2014 an occasional drawing will open with the viewres setting at 0. This was first noticed when changing a setting in the Options (config). When trying to exit, the window would change to the display tab and a dialogue would insist on setting the Arc and Circle Smootheness to a value between 1-20000, as the current setting was not an integer value.
My question is: How would the Viewres variable get set to 0, as this is not possible for any way I know to set its value (Dialogue or System Variable). This was not occuring before with 2013, however after the drawing is opened on 2014 and saved even 2013 users report the setting to be 0 (As done with the viewres command, not the Options Dialogue). This does not occur with all drawings only some. In one case the drawing is the Main drawing associated with a .DST of the same name.
Is this a known bug?
Is there a way to set the viewres to 0?

Material Library not found.
I have attached a screenshot of my problem....
The materials library is installed yet it says it is not. I have done a clean install of both autocad (2011) and the material library. I am out of ideas on what to try. I have checked the site briefly to see if I could find a similar problem but have not, or the fix did not work.

window preview for rendering
Hi there!
i' pretty new in autocad, but I've been using 3d studio for years and I have some terrible issues about rendering that are driving me nuts..
how can i have a preview of the area that is going to be rendered in the model window? (this command in 3d studio is SHIFT+F, for the ones that know what i'm talking about..
so this is the point, i have to make a bunch of images all from the same spot and with the same framing, but doesn't matter even if I save the views, in render the image is always different. (this mostly because i'm using multiple computers, so it's enough that the machine has a different sceen resolution or that autocad on a different machine has a different user intarface, to make the rendere completely differet.... i'd solve it using always the same computer, but it's part of the request)...
another question is there a way, if I set up a camera to have a proportioned view? it looks that the window is totally random and can jus give an idea of the camera view, but nothing really serious.
can someone help me??
thanks!!!!!!
Problem rendering wireframe conduits in autocad mep 2013 plan view
I recently updated to CAD MEP 2013 from 2011 and noticed that some of my conduits instead of being wireframe 2d, they look like a solid conduit, even on plan view, usually just the drops and fittings, even after deleting the whole conduit, still comesback as solid.

Inaccurate Color Display
AutoCAD Architecture 2010, Windows 7 64 bit
Solid hatched color fill from imported colorbooks (from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams) neither display nor plot accurately in terms of color rendition.
Gold colors appear and plot greenish/tan. Gray colors appear and plot many shades darker. On-screen appearance not so much a problem while plotter output (HDesignjet 800) is a more substantial issue. Have tried many variables on plotter color calibration and enhancement without luck. Change in media type from bond to photo papers not helpful.
Any ideas to correct this? Thanks much.
Image map - specific view to specific face
I'm trying to apply an image (attached) to a solid, a simple rectangular box, so that each face shows a specific view.
I've done some basic texturemapping now and again, but nothing liek this, and I'm having real trouble getting it to work right.
Can anybody let me know if what I'm trying to do is possible in acad, and if so, how?
