Dim Angles

so im trying to angles for a specific shape.. looks much like a 3 sided pyramid but all sides are not equal.. these angles go across all 3 axis at the same like x,y,and z how would i get this angle? two views? top view and side view showing the two diffrent angles? thats all i can think of and have no problem with that. howwever i dont knwo how ot make the dim angle command mesure an angle excepton the XY plane.. ill need the dim to get an angle on the ZX plane.. how would i got about doing that? do my first angle the rotate dim and everything to get my 2nd angle on the XY plane? any help would be apperciated..

MAYDAY! Recovery Manager stating 'File Not Valid'

Hello.. My name is Sophia (First time post)

Huge dillemma! AutoCAD crashed whilst I was in the 'Extrude Command', there were no symptoms evident prior to the program crashing for me to quickly copy the file as a 'just in case'.

The recovery manager shows the recovery file (however no preview is shown) and it states: "File not Valid"! I have tried restarting my imac and force quitting ACad to retreive. I am modelling in 3D and I'm aware these cases are common which is why I have gotten into the habit of quick saving every couple of minutes. However ACad won't open my saved file either!

Any assistance would be grealty appreciated... there is ALOT of detail in this drawing.. I can't afford to lose it :smileysad: Or if anyone can repair my file please let me know. I tried to attach the .dwg to this post but it won't submit my post with it.

I use: imac late 2012 and AutoCAD 2013 version. Command before crashing: I isolated an area to work on & was using Extrude Faces for editng an object. I do have a Bak file of the drawing too. Thank you

Help! AutoCAD 2013 for Mac running slow and reloading all the time!

I just upgraded from AutoCAD 2011 for Mac to 2013. 2011 was shutting down ever couple of minutes so I needed to upgrade to resolve that frustrating issue.

I JUST installed 2013, and the software is running super slow. Every time I enter a command, I get the rainbow swirling loading icon and it takes a minute or two before AutoCAD is ready for its next command. It seems to be saving my changes fine, and is loading my old drawings fine but this problem is making it nearly impossible to work with it!

I downloaded the Mac 2013 patch that I found here:

And it didnt seem to help.

I also tried turning off the infer constraints which supposedly slows down drawing loading, but that didnt seem to do anything either!

Help! I feel like throwing my computer out the window!!

Mac OS X

Version 10.7.5

2.3 GHZ Intel Core i7

Macintosh HD

Can't copy items from one specific layer

Hello,

I'm new and I'm just stuck on this one problem: I'm having trouble copying items in a layer. All other layers copy just fine. This specific layer is not locked or frozen. I can move objects in it, but I can't copy objects for some reason. Any ideas?
