Is there a way to have the array distance in a dynamic block linked to an adjustable object? If not, is there another way to adjust it?
Attached is a block i am updating with the problem shown.
My company uses 2 drivers to print PDFs drivers. The first is AutoCAD's native driver PDFPLOT10.hdi, commonly know as DWG To PDF. The second is a system printer using GDIPLOT10.hdi. If you try to edit either one of these drivers Graphics->Vector Graphics->Resolution and Color Depth, it is fixed on Color with the controls grayed out. We have a client that likes to use STB and CTB randomly. They also like to be very creative with the layer plotstyle naming and like to use exotic colors. If I set up a publish template using Pagesetup I can use monochrome, ctb which is fine if the drawing is set up for ctb and the colors are within the standard color range. If I set up a publish template using Pagesetup I can use monochrome.stb which is fine if the drawing is set up for stb and the stb contains all of the clients layer plot styles. If the drawing falls outside of the criteria all or part of the drawing comes out in color. If I choose not to use plotstyles everything comes out in color. I just want Monochrome prints.
I'm trying to create a dynamic pitch symbol block. It contains two attributes for entering horizontal and vertical pitch, and a triangle that I want to change based on user input.
Further, I've created the block in scale 1:1000 and I want to be able to scale it such that I set the block's scale at 0.1 for 1:100. I don't know if the scale needs to be included in some expression (or if that is at all possible). See the attached file where I have created the "framework". I would also like the insertion point to remain on the end of the "offset line", but that isn't really a big deal.
PS: I had to zip the *.dwg to be able to attach it. Don't know why.
I'm working with this dynamic door for a while now and everything worked fine till now...
Lately though it really acts strange and I don't know what to do about it. The text for the doorwidth and hight doesn't move to it's correct position. Also when I update it with "_attsync" or try to input it new it won't update to the correct position.
Any idea how to solve this problem?
I've used ACAD for years on the PC but am new to ACAD on the Mac. I'm having troubles with layouts. I would simply like to duplicate and/or delete layouts. From everything i can tell the only way to do it is through the "show drawings and layouts" button on the status bar. However when I go into that and right (control) click on a layout I only have 3 options that appear in the contextual menu:Print, Edit Page Setup and Page Setup Manager. From what I've researched I should be getting at least: Rename, Duplicate..., Delete and Create New Layout as well. What am i missing??? Please help.
is there a programm / driver / preferences in Autocad 2014 Mac to ONLY associate my trackball with rotation function ? and use another Mouse for control of the actual cursor ?
I am currently using autocad 2014 student version on my macbook Pro.
When I start the clean screen on AutoCAD (⌘+0) the palettes disappear...
Every time I start the clean screen I must restart all palettes (⌘+1 , ⌘+3 , ⌘+4)
Is there a possibility to save my palettes in the clean screen on AutoCAD 2014?
Dynamic blocks, is it possible to have the option to choose various radii shapes in a dynamic block? an Example of what i am trying to do is a pedestrian refuge where the radius of the ends can vary between 0.6m and 1.2m?
Any help appreciated.
So I had a macbook and I installed autocad 2014 and my professor does tutorials on her windows but when she tells me to draw a rectangle and click command + D and i do it on the mac it doesn't work. she also gets like a text bar that says length and width with it (on her windows).
none of this seems to be working on my mac.
I've lost two hours to spinney rainbow today, and I need to figure out how to get this program or system running more efficiently.
I've always had minor issues with files that have a lot of xrefs or hatches, but it has been ridiculously slow today. I've had to force quit this file 4 times. I often get spinney rainbow when I try to change from one CAD window to another. As an interior designer, I don't think these files are particularly complex or large.
Any ideas on how I can get it to perform faster or more efficiently?
My Mac specs are: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB on OS X 10.8.5
I am using the same block several times in a drawing. It is controlled with Block Properties Table. Is there a way to change all the blocks at once? Now I have to look for all the blocks and change them manually. Until there is only a couple in a drawing, it is doable. However their numbers are increasing exponentially...
This past week I have started using dynamic blocks and I'm loving it.
I was wondering if someone could help me with a dynamic concrete block wall problem.
- I can't seem to get the the array to work with an odd number of rows
- I need the edges to fill in with half blocks
- Is there a way to always have the flip option on the midpoint of the block?
I recived very large drawing. CAD & PDF
the cad file is colored lines and solid hatches
the pdf all lines are colored but the hatching is colored.
now I want to do some modification in the drawing(lines and colored hatching) the exported to pdf (b &w lines and colored hatching), how can do that with out exploding or change the original colors?
I use Autocad LT (r. 2014) for Mac for a few weeks, and I now got a problem while launching : As I click on AUTOCAD LT on dock, I can see a window with the rolling color circle, then nothing happens. I already quited AUTOCAD, restarted my Mac, and so on, but impossible to get my software running.
My configuration :
OS X 10,9,1
Processor 2,93 MHz Intel I7
8 Go 1333 Mhz
ATO RADEON HD 5750 1024 Mb
Any Idea about this ?
Greetings from France ;)
When I go to printer a drawing in AutoCAD lt 2014 i get a warning screen which reads:
AutoCAD LT Warning
This plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The none plot device has been substituted.
However, when the print options open up my printer is a plot device and can be printed from.
How do i set my printer as default plot device and stop getting this error?
Thanks for your time
Hi to all,
I need some help?
When printing to an Epson 7900 printer all my settings are set for matte black ink and plain paper; when Printing Autocad uses Photo Black Ink with the printer asking me to change the ink cartiages.
This does not happen when Printing to Preview and then Printing with the Matte Black Inks and plain paper from Acrobat. Seems to be an issue with Autocad taking over the printer with the default set for photo black ink? Is there a way to change the settings?
This has probably been addressed before but I'm unable to find it.
Since there is no Design Center on the Mac version of AC is there some way to bring over dimension/text/multileader styles from one project to another so we don't have to re-invent the wheel so to speak? I'm using ACLT on a MAC running Mavericks.
I have a folder with over 1000 drawings in it. I want to use Publish to create plots.
Unfortunately, the drawings were created partly in PS and partly in MS as far as the plot setup goes. So I can just select them all.
My question is, can I prepare a list in Ascii format or something to have Publish select the correct drawings from, and in PS/MS, depending on what I tell it? I looked at a dsd file, and there is four or five lines of info for each file, so it wouldn't be productive to recreate a dsd.
I just thought I got all the drawings in and when I tried to save, AutoCAD crashed. Furthermore, the drawings are not coming in the proper order, and with 1000+ files, it is not realistice to drag and drop them into the correct plotting order. And there is no way to sort that I can see.
Any ideas? Maybe a lisp or a script?
We are in the process of upgrading our plotter to a plotter with copy/print/scan function. We are debating between the KIP 7170CPCS, Plot WAVE 340 and the Ricoh W5100. We print about 120 000 sq.ft a year. I'm looking for opinions and personal experiences about them.
